Barrel's bottom

Well blow me. It’s been a month, and I haven’t touched art. I have been busy doing what I do away from art, that is, not a lot - I'm ashamed to say I have been lazy. What's more - and much worse - I have neglected my commitment to Mark Lawrenson... and to you, my faithful reader.

So much for striking out on my own 'Who needs a poncy art tutor...', 'pah, what a waste of money...'- words of a fool that have come back and burned - I have drifted sans direction or structure. Lesson learnt: don't trust your own arrogance. Never.

In fact, if truth were told, I would not be typing, save the encouraging words of one Louis Gilman. Here’s his blog - Louis, please take a bow...http://thebadearl.wordpress.com/.

More than apologies and gratuities (which in basic maths is the square-root of excuse-point-intemperate-self-approbation) I am writing to update you on my failure (but just in an artistic sense as I cant be bothered with all the other stuff). This game is hard.

Last time round I promised investigations! Boasted bold claims of structured dissection of my friend’s artistic methods...! If truth were told, this was a rubbish idea. And, at best, a swing in the dark.

Henceforth, no more wild promises, delusions of grander or etc. The quick is where I'm at, and I got a switchblade (aka pallet knife), an attitude and no discernible talent or skill.
